JEWISH HERITAGE TOUR EPHESUS & SARDES
Leave for SARDES, capital
of the ancient LYDIA, where one of the churches of St. John
existed. Tour the ruins of the temple of CYBELE and DIANA
where a fourth century Bazilika was added later. See the
golden river PACTALOS and the ROYAL ROAD. Visit the
reconstructed synagogue, the gymnasium. After enjoying the
turkish cuisine at lunch,
We will drive to Ephesus
,You will visit to EPHESUS which is known to be the
Commercial, the Religious and the Social Center of
Antiquity, Ephesus is probably the best combination of
Greek, Roman and Byzantine civilisations. You will visit the
Fountains of Trajan, Polio, the Temples of Hadrian and
Domition, the Library of Celcius, Bouloterion and the Great
Theatre with a capacity of 24.000 spectators. After that we
drive to Kusadasi or drive back Izmir. (L).
